Yvette signed with Elite Models after high school, taking her to Japan for three months, the cover of Teen Magazine, and hundreds of commercials. Miss Nipar then spent 20 years as a successful working actor, beginning with a contract role on General Hospital, then guest-starring roles on multiple primetime television shows, from Melrose Place to CSI. She had a recurring role on 21 Jump Street, on which she played Johnny Depp’s girlfriend, and was a series regular on RoboCop: The Series. After playing the lead in two back-to-back feature films, Walking Tall: The Payback and Walking Tall: Lone Justice, she did a radical act and hung up her hat as an actor, and started a clothing company. But as of 2025, the acting bug is back, and she booked an episode of Criminal Minds, which airs soon. Yvette is honored to be a CASA (Court-Ordered Special Advocate) for children in foster care.

“I often get asked if I miss acting. Absolutely—especially the camaraderie. But I left when I realized reality shows were taking over network televison—there wasn’t much left for the working actor. I’d also experienced a traumatic event around that time where protecting my young son was my priority. Anyhow, by the time all the streaming channels came around, offering more opportunities for actors, being a woman of a certain age—aging “naturally”—it was much too late to jump back in. The business doesn’t work that way. I continued focusing on my small business and recently started designing jewelry. https://www.besodoso.com

I recently realized how much I miss it. So, with all the wisdom and “lines” I’ve earned, I will see if there’s a place for me to do what I love again.”

MY HAPPY PLACE

“I started riding dirt bikes when I was nine-years-old. I was hooked. I was ten when I first rode on the back of a Harley Davidson, and have owned my own Harley for 35 years.

The wind in my face is everything.”
